Face fat grafting

Fat grafting is an aesthetic procedure in which the patient’s own fat tissue is harvested from areas such as the abdomen, thighs, or hips, then purified and specially processed before being injected into specific areas of the face. This leads to natural rejuvenation, restoration of lost volume, and improved facial contours—using only the body’s own …

How does the procedure work?

1. Anesthesia and Fat Harvesting

Lipofilling is performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of the procedure and the treatment areas. The duration is approximately 60–90 minutes.
Fat tissue is gently extracted via liposuction from a donor area—most commonly the abdomen, thighs, or hips.

2. Purification and Injection of the Fat

The extracted fat is purified and prepared for injection to ensure maximum survival of the fat cells.
Using fine cannulas, the fat cells are injected into the areas of the face that require volume and rejuvenation.

3. Recovery Period

Mild swelling and bruising are normal during the first 5–10 days.
Final results become visible after 2–3 months, once the fat cells have fully adapted.
Some of the injected fat may be reabsorbed, so an additional session may be needed for optimal results.
The effect is long-lasting and natural, as the procedure uses the patient’s own tissue.
